I am extremely disappointed with the service at this Ace Hardware location. As a returning customer, I expected a much higher level of transparency and customer care. I attempted to exchange an item and was told that returns are not accepted. However, this policy is not stated anywhere on the receipt. Instead, I was told that the policy is “posted” somewhere on top of the counter, which is neither clear nor sufficient communication to customers at the time of purchase. To make matters worse, when I contacted their customer service line, I was informed that because this is a franchise, each store can make decisions at its own discretion. While I understand how franchises operate, this should not come at the expense of consistent and fair customer experience. As a General Manager in retail, I make it a priority to ensure that all customers are clearly informed of any final sale items before completing their purchase, and that policies are explicitly stated on receipts. Transparency is key to building trust, and unfortunately, that was completely lacking here. This experience was very disappointing, and I hope this location takes steps to improve communication and customer service moving forward.

I appreciate that one team member was very helpful during my visit. However, this was the only helpful person out of 4! Particularly the cashier’s demeanor felt unfriendly, and several employees appeared distracted rather than engaged with customers. The store has great items, and with more attentive service, it could provide a much better experience.

Well I am obviously not the only person that thinks this place is terrible as they have 3 star reviews so I’m just adding to their already bad reviews. Guess it’s a consensus. They have the rudest service people in there ever. I’m in shock how the cashier people are SOOP RUDE it’s unbelievable. The men workers on the floor are nice but the cashiers act miserable to be there and miserable you’re there. It’s like they don’t want your business and they treat you very poorly. I called before coming to make sure they were open and they said as long as you’re in the store by 8pm, they will be open then I got there at 7:50 after driving 20 min and in this economy you would think they would want the business but instead they were kicking me out at 8:02 and telling me the register is going off and the lights will turn out and I have to leave in the middle of my purchase and they were scooting me out and they were so rude and then I asked to the manager was, and she said “Veronica”, but then I looked at her name tag and she was Veronica and she was BEYOND RUDE - I can’t believe they pay these girls to work there when I will now drive off the beach to get what I need or buy from Amazon to not get treated like crap - and then the other lady who was Andrea was also the rudest person I’ve ever seen in a store. They had zero customer service skills and it’s sad. This is the only hardware store on the beach. They need another one on South Beach because they would take all their business away as they have the worst service ever.someone open a hardware store on Miami Beach PLEASE - wonder if they’d get nice then!! It’s worth the drive to go get better service elsewhere.

I’ve been a loyal client of this store for years and tonight i’ve arrived 2 minutes prior to the advertised closing hour (5.58 pm on a sunday) and the rude staff closed the door in my face. He is a young guy with long hair, I explained I just need to buy 1 can of paint spray and he didn’t want to hear anything. Rude and at 5.59 he was already out of his job riding his scooter.

Great place that feels like Alibaba’s Cave! There’s everything you might need at home. The prices are high and that’s the only reason i gave 4 stars. But the staff is super helpful and I will go back, just because I love stuff like this freaking candle with such a long flame (see pic!).
