I usually really like this store. Today was unfortunate. With the snow and ice storm coming I went to purchase a spark plug oil and oil filter for my generator and asked one of the young boys upfront where it was and the heavyset woman with the short hair barked at me that they don’t sell anything for generators. I told her it was a Briggs & Stratton, John Deere product and there are multiple universal pieces and again she barked at me that they don’t sell anything for generators at all. Didn’t wanna tell me what section anything would be in and told me that she has been telling everyone that walks in they don’t sell those items and turning them away. So I walked down to the aisle and picked up all the items I needed myself which she explicitly told me multiple times were not sold there and she told the other community members who were trying to prepare for the storm in need of parts weren’t sold there. So not only did she put the community that store is there to serve, in danger, she also cost Ace multiple sales. Luckily, I did not take her word for it and went and found the parts on my own without any assistance from the four employees as she directed them not to help because she told me they don’t sell those parts there. Beyond rude, she was completely incorrect and then refused to look at me when I walked up to the register holding the exact items she told me weren’t sold there while misleading the neighborhood that store is in place to serve.

I stopped in to get a car key programmed and Jack was incredibly helpful. He made the whole process easy and saved me a lot of stress. He’s a great employee who clearly knows what he’s doing. He definitely deserves a pat on the back for the excellent service!

I live near this Westlake location, and zip over as needed for those odds and ends. Today I called ahead with a problem. “I have an electric Eco Trimmer and I need to buy new line for it, but I also need help spooling it up. Is this a possibility?” “Yes! We will do our best.” And they did! Two fine young men at the desk as you walk in, greeted me with a smile and walked me through it. I purchased the line and left happy! So great to meet people that are happy to help!

This Ace location is amazing. It has a huge selection. The store is clean and well organized. There are staff members readily available to help you locate what you are looking for.

ALWAYS helpful! The employees act as if no question is too stupid, and they can find the proverbial needle in a haystack. This is always my first choice when I have to go to a hardware store.
