Went in looking for a bolt of size and they sorted me out in 2 minutes. Got home and it was the perfect fit. I wish I would’ve remembered the per who helped me.

Needed just a couple screws to fix my bedroom door. And now I’ll have to go clear out the way for something that this store had right down the street from me. Not all money is good here. For some reason it’s too much of a bother or a hassle to be able to swipe for 3 dollars.

Great customer service and location! My go to when I don’t feel like mazing through the big box depot spot where no one knows anything!! Whenever I need my weed and seed lawn products they are always in stock and offer great discounts for reward members. I appreciate even more that someone is always willing to help me!! Getting ready for my spring buys now!

Terrible customer service!!! Dropped off a lawn mower and True Value advised I receive mower in a week. After over a week, I called about my mower. Receptionist advised, if you didn’t receive a call it’s not ready. I advised it been over a week, can you look it up. The receptionist look it up, and say, “Oh it’s ready.” When I’m picking up my mower, I asked when was the call made. Owner advised 3 days ago. I looked in my cellphone call log, and no call was received. The owner proceeded to say, I spoke to someone. I laughed and said it’s a cell phone. I’m the only person answering. The owner, asked. Are you calling me a liar?!?! I responded No. simply citing no call was received. The owner got angry and was very unprofessional. If I could give ZERO stars I would. The owner told me fix the lawn mower myself. I laughed, and said. No I’ll simply go to another vendor. Very unprofessional.

Jacob saved the day! I recently experienced terrible customer service from 2 of True Vale Hardware employees. I brought in a lawnmower to be repaired. Once repaired, True Value was supposed to call me. I waited over a week and TV never called me. I called in to inquire about my lawnmower, and the first employee with bad service simply recited, "if we didn't call you it's not done." After urging and prompting the employee to look into further, she said, "Oh, your lawnmower is ready." I arrive at TV, and found out my lawnmower been ready for 3 days. As I picked up my mower, the other bad employee advised he called and spoke to someone. I laughed and said my phone is a cell phone, I'm the only person with access to the phone. I never received a call. I checked my call log and no records of True Value calling. The employee that alleged he called, told me to fix my mower myself next time and he's done this for 30 years. I smiled and said no, I'll simply go to a different vendor next time. I took my mower home and proceeded to cut my grass the same day I picked up my mower. I brought my mower in to have my wheel aligned and tightened. As I'm cutting my grass, I noticed my wheel detached again smh. After waiting over a week, it was very disappointing the wheel fell off on the first day of use. I brought my mower in to be repaired by a reputable vendor, and a rude employee deemed they been doing this for 30 years. Yet, after waiting over a week combined with poor service the same issue occurred. I called TV at 6:15 pm Friday evening, but TV was closed. I arrived Saturday morning. Jacob greeted and welcomed me. Due to the poor service received prior, I asked for a refund for the repair. However, Jacob said he'll look into and will personally ensure the mower is serviced properly. Jacob assisted me remove the mower from my car. I left my mower, and Jacob called me back the same day advising my mower been repaired. When Jacob called, my iPhone displayed "True Value Hardware South Euclid" in the caller id. As a result, I picked up my phone immediately, and there was no mystery or issue who was calling. There was a clear phone record True Value was calling. Also, when I arrived to pickup my mower, Jacob assisted me again by helping me load my mower back into my vehicle. Jacob was a true pleasure and professional. Jacob was extremely HELPFUL!!! Jacob provided the great customer service and assistance you're looking for when you go to a small hardware store. Jacob was friendly, empathetic, professional, and very helpful. Jacob is excellent representation for True Value. After experiencing terrible service from different employees, Jacob made me feel VALUED again. Great job Jacob and more success.
