Barry's Ace Hardware performed a miracle when mixing paint to bring my 50 year old water fountain back to life. Ben, Matt, Robert and Rod went out of their way to find a solution to recreate the exact color I needed. Paint manufacturer guaranteed only 5 pastel colors ---definitely no terra cotta. These 4 guys thought out of the box when Ben came up with a paint color combination that hit a bullseye. This is why we support small businesses such as Barry's. They care about providing outstanding service.

This particular store is not like the other stores I go to as soon as I come in someone comes up to me that asked me if there's anything they can do to help that is so appreciated you have no idea and even though I have a pretty good idea of what I need they usually have something expertise to add that I didn't think of which is great. The associate who waits on me usually drops whatever they're doing to help me out which is fantastic. Kudos to Barry's Ace hardware. The store has been instrumental and helping me resurrect my old Ironhead Sportster by providing numerous hardware ie nuts and bolts all different sizes and threads.

Adapted Texaco Gas Pump Light - Amazing Job! We purchased this semi- finished small refrigerator that resembled a gas pump. A non-functional, unattached Texaco lamp also came with it. Having no knowledge or experience to complete our idea, Matt came to our rescue and did an AweSome professional job adapting it to the top of the replica gas pump refrigerator! Here is a picture so you can see how incredible it now looks!! We are so pleased and thrilled with the outcome that resulted from Matt’s experience and talent. Thank you immensely, Matt! I purchased little plastic plugs to fill in holes in a door. This Barry’s Ace charged .86 cents each. I purchased the same thing at a different Ace 2 hours before this and they were only .35 cents each. That’s crap, WOW. Are the rest of their prices the same way?

I’ve been shopping at this Ace Hardware location for over 10 years and have always had great, knowledgeable, genuinely helpful experiences. That’s why this visit stood out in a bad way. One older employee was rude, dismissive, and uninterested in helping from the start. Older tallish white slim gangly fella. He repeatedly showed me items I clearly said I didn’t want. Mid-conversation, he abruptly announced he needed to “relieve himself,” walked past me, and loudly passed gas multiple times less than two feet away. When I said he could have let me out of the aisle or gone the other direction, he brushed it off with a joke about “old man farts.” After that, he gave me incorrect information about acrylic sheets — including saying the store didn’t carry them and quoting the wrong price — then pawned me off onto a younger employee who was kind, professional, and actually helped me. While that employee was assisting me, the older man repeatedly tried to dump additional customers onto him, leaving people waiting instead of helping them and they were clearly uncomfortable. I watched customers walk out. He also made an offensive comment about another customer’s British accent, which the younger employee had to say something to him, but he dismissed it and continued. The tension among staff was obvious with this guy and made it feel like an ongoing morale issue, not a one-off bad day. I’ll continue shopping here because the store and most of the staff are excellent, but this behavior actively drives customers away and puts unfair strain on coworkers. It’s time for him to move on to maybe a greeter job if that’s all the energy he is willing to offer. I do NOT want to interact with him on my next visit.
