Location is always helpful and patient. I came here looking for a replacement screw for my Vintage 1970’s Ward Lamp and the staff was so helpful. Employee spent a great amount of time finding the correct screw so the threading wouldn’t strip. It looks incredible. Thanks ACE!

This is my local hardware store; which we frequent often… yesterday, Sunday morning , we needed a few things. … not one, BUT 5 different people approached us asking if we needed help…. 5 people in a small store .. we politely declined and said we were just looking around… apparently those words mean “ every employee treat these people like they are stealing!” The last guy , older dude cleaning the floors… extremely rude. Really sad that they feel like this is Great customer service. Not the first time this has happened to me at this store … I’m a 59 year old female…. I’ve read other reviews stating the same situations…. Do better. Back off and let people decide if they need help or not.

Terrible customer service (Brett)! Asked an associate yesterday if I could return an item. I was told that it was no problem if I have a receipt. I asked if my Ace account gave the ability to look up purchases and was told yes, just bring in the item and they would take care of it. When I attempted to return my item I was told I needed to present the original packaging AND the receipt. An associate (Brett) came over and told me to go back to my shop and bring him back the packaging and the receipt out of my trash. This is for a $27 item… Never mind that the back of your receipts SPECIFICALLY say "Your receipt is all you need". I would have understood needing to verify the purchase price. That makes sense. But you made me dig through my garbage for packaging that was NOT needed. And then nobody, not the cashier, not Brett, looked at or even requested a receipt! I am a local business in the area that liked having Ace be available for our immediate needs. Figure out your return policy. Next customer will appreciate it!

WOW! I want to give my utmost , highest praise, a 100+ star service to Eli who is the Store Manager of ACE Hardware store on Broadway between Beck and Priest in Tempe AZ. I had a broken latch on my backyard gate that had rusted short screws. It needed a drill through metal for longer screws , and fasteners to permanently solve the problem. I went into ACE Hardware looking for some screws and thinking that I will probably need to hire a handyman to drill through the metal gate. Eli in the store warmly greeted me. I brought my broken latch with rusted short screws. I showed him photos of my broken gate. He quickly sensed that I was not too confident in drilling through the metal to permanently resolve the latch problem. I said I probably needed a handyman to help me. He said he can help me and can drill the 2 holes for free. I told him he didn’t need to but he said he is glad to help! He helped me quickly picked out the 2 longer screws and fasteners and I only spent $2.31 at the cashier. He arrived promptly the next morning with his drills and tools and skillfully drilled 2 holes through the metal gate. He properly fitted the 2 longer screws and fasteners himself. The gate latch now works beautifully now! Eli went above and beyond his call of duty as ACE Hardware employee. I am so grateful for his act of professionalism, dedication and kindness! I hope that ACE Hardware company will recognize him for his dedication and wonderful service! He needs to get extra bonus for his professional service! He asked for nothing in return. He didn’t even asked me to give him a good review. I am doing this review on my own will. I am a now a loyal customer for life, especially to this local ACE Hardware store. Look for Eli to help you. He deserves double - triple- trillion bonus raise and promotion! I hope that ACE Hardware Conpany will recognize him as Employee of the Year b/c Eli went above and beyond what any employee would do. He is quietly dedicated, highly professional, with excellent customer service skills. I appreciated his problem- solving and humble service! THANK YOU, ELI!

Great customer service but sometimes it’s a little too much and there’s too much pressure to make decisions. Thankfully Troy was helpful to me and patient as I decided what I actually needed.
