My wife and I like to support local business. We went to Ace to buy a Blackstone grill and accessories for a housewarming present for our son. We particularly went to Ace for the free delivery and assembly. We end up buying it on the Ace website with the Placentia store selected as our store.The delivery was scheduled for a few days later on a Sunday. Our son was called on Sunday and told that if he wanted to have it assembled he would have to wait a week because they had no one who could assemble it til then. That was the WHOLE point of picking Ace. My wife and I could have just bought it on Amazon with next day delivery for less money unassembled. Not a good experience with Ace and we feel like their TV ads are somewhat fraudulent. We won’t be back to Ace. Yes FRAUDULENT. Promises you are obviously incapable of fulfilling. If you prefer misleading feel free. The attitude in your reply is NOT a customer friendly response. Yet another reason to avoid this store..

ACE is indeed the place with the Helpful Hardware Folks! This one in Placentia is huge! And i was really impressed both times that I've been there. It has pretty much everything I could think of needing for home improvement. I was there to get some flowers, plant food, irrigation supplies, and a few other things (because there's always something else to find!). I was truly impressed with all of the sales team members I met. When I had to make a return, it was completely painless and easy! The store was really incredibly clean and easy to navigate. Big custom signs were easy to read from far away, and they have extensive selections of products that I haven't seen elsewhere. I went during a slow time of the day, both on the first day and the second that I was there, and it was so easy to find what i was looking for. All of the people and sales members I encountered were very helpful, asked if I needed help, and were friendly and didn't rush me at all! I felt comfortable in the store even though I had never been there before, and the friendly and conversant staff made it a great experience. There are eye-catching displays, neat and tidy isles, easy to navigate sections, and extensive choices for all of your home improvement needs. Soil was just a few dollars more than other big box stores I know of, but I like supporting small businesses where possible, so I wasn't put off by the marginally higher prices in some specific things. They have more space, and thus more product than other Ace locations I've been to. Clothing, dog and cat stuff, plants and soil and mulch, a huge BBQ section, nice patio furniture displays, easy to locate price tags, and great selection. Although it's just a little out of my way, I will certainly be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely love this ACE Hardware store! Every time I visit, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. Whether I’m looking for tools, plumbing parts, gardening supplies, or just advice on a small home project, I can count on someone walking me through the options patiently. The store is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with a surprisingly wide variety of items for such a neighborhood location. I’ve found specialty screws, replacement lightbulbs, organic soil, and even great seasonal deals on outdoor equipment. They often carry things I can’t find at the big box stores. One thing I really appreciate is how personalized the service is—unlike larger chains, the employees here remember repeat customers and give thoughtful recommendations. I recently needed help finding the right fittings for a leaky hose, and not only did they have it in stock, but they also explained exactly how to install it. Highly recommend this ACE Hardware location to anyone looking for quality products, fair prices, and truly excellent customer service. It’s my go-to hardware store in the area!

Got screwed at this Ace. Online system said 2 in stock (still says 2 in stock right now). Got a pickup ready notice from the store right away. Drove 1 hour to Placentia only to be presented with a banged up floor model. When I asked about the 2 on the system they casually said that’s a mistake and that they just now updated the system to reflect the current unavailability (again 2 units are still listed as being available as I type this). Older guy asks younger coworker why he didn’t call to inform me and without missing a beat the guy says he did call but my number is listed as not accepting calls, which is an outright lie. Haven’t been to Ace in a while and now I remember why. All in all drove 2 hours round trip to be jerked around by a bunch of bozos.

Went in to buy a cabinet that was in stock. Said they had 3 items. they could not find it, It was about 1 hour before close. Guess they did not want to sell it. Found it at home Depot for $150 Less. Same exact one, Same part number etc. I can tell they did not even try. Apparently Ace is the place with the helpful hard ware no one. Over priced anyway. Go to Home Depot. Same stuff but less prices.
