Nicely organized and very convenient! Has pretty much every thing you need for basic household and backyard projects. The staff is super nice and there’s plenty of help around. The prices are reasonable and they pretty much have everything in stock that you’ll need. They have lots of gardening supplies along with dirt and mulch. This place is great for East Sac now I don’t have to drive all the way to Home Depot. I highly recommend this place I had a pleasant experience.

I grew up loving Ace Hardwares mainly due to their wealth of experience and kindness. I was attempting to buy an open ended nozzle to be able to screw in our old hose, as the complex hose was broken by someone. I brought in the piece. The first guy was nice and provided a 3/4 in like the one I brought in. I got home and realized he gave me the wrong part as not open ended on both sides like what I showed him, but closed on back side. Drove all the way back to exchange. A mgr walked me over to show me what he thought was needed. He said you have a broken hose and you need this whole other piece with several tiny parts. I nicely said, I just need the open ended 3/4 in piece I showed him. He then wanted to argue with what I needed. I was mortified. Exchanged the wrong part with what he said I needed. Came home and the piece did not work. So so disappointed, as the previous visits were with someone older, and definitely kinder. Here I come Home Depot.

A nice neighborhood hardware store with a basic selection but not overwhelming like a big box store. Attentative staff but the cashiers were kinda awkward/odd. After he rang me up he just left the items on the counter and didn't offer to bag them. I had to reach across the counter onto his side to get my stuff. Generational thing? Maybe...

I had to share about my wonderful experience(s) at Ace Hardware on Folsom because it’s such a difficult situation trying to match old paint! The first batch of paint was the wrong finish, the second batch was too light and the third time was “the charm!” First of all, Julie or Jules never once rushed me or herself to get me close to the exact match! I could tell that she actually cared about what she was doing and I even overheard one of her coworkers telling her to “take a break”. Thank you to all the quality employees who saw me multiple times yesterday and today and especially Julie for going above and beyond! This place is exactly like they say in the commercial: “ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks!” THANK YOU!!

Most of the staff are hardware ignorant and sometimes rude. They can point you to the right aisle but the buck stops there. “Ask your contractor, we’re college students”. I’ll shop at the I street Ace from now on where they’re glad to help.
