This hardware store despite being a chain feels like a mom and pop shop. It's large footprint offers lots of products. What I like is that they had a good selection of wood stains in the smallest size vs HD and Lowe's which tend to have larger sizes for bigger projects. They also carry fun home decor items and a California and San Diego themed souvenirs.

I needed a safety vest for work (i left mine at home) and this was the closest place that would probably have one suitable for me. Thanks to the directions from helpful gals at the registers, i was in and out with what i needed in less than five minutes. Thanks for the great service! If i ever need anything you may carry and I'm even sort of close by, I'll be coming here to look first before anywhere else! Keep up the good work! America rocks! 🤘🏻

I love the paint department here. We painted our entire house 5 years ago and they kept all paints, colors, and finishes in their system. It’s easy to get more paint when needed. But I especially appreciate the customer service. Everyone I’ve ever worked with at the paint counter is so informed and helpful — today that person was Jackson. I’m such a big fan and a happy customer. :)

I love this store! Everyone is super friendly, and equally important, knowledgeable. They are always so helpful. I get really excited when I have a project or something to fix or beautify, and I get to go to the cleanest, friendliest, and most helpful place - the Hillcrest Ace Hardware!

This place is awesome I bought more than what I expected. Everyone is friendly and helpful.. we highly recommend this store.. will definitely stop by again if we're going around the area
