I have been shopping at this Ace Hardware location for nearly 20 years. Its proximity to my neighborhood has made it my go-to hardware store, and I have always appreciated the convenience. Unfortunately, my experience today has convinced me that I will be taking my business elsewhere. I attempted to return a product and was met with resistance and unprofessional attitude from multiple associates. I was given what appeared to be questionable explanations involving federal regulations and then a lengthy explanation about the store being independently operated and therefore unable to accept returns from other local Ace locations. The reasoning provided was confusing and inconsistent, leaving me frustrated and feeling as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. To verify the policy, I took the same items to the next closest Ace Hardware location. There, the staff handled the return without issue. More importantly, they were courteous, professional, and genuinely focused on helping me. The contrast between the two experiences could not have been more striking. What has become increasingly disappointing is that this was not an isolated incident. Over the past several years, I have found the customer service at this location to be consistently unfriendly, dismissive, and unhelpful. Too often, interactions feel as though customers are inconveniencing the staff rather than being welcomed and assisted. Customer service is one of the primary reasons people choose to shop at local stores rather than large chain retailers. Unfortunately, that standard has been missing from this location for quite some time. I hope management takes a serious look at the customer experience and invests in training that emphasizes professionalism, courtesy, and a genuine commitment to serving customers. After two decades of loyalty, it is disappointing to say that today's experience will be my last with this store.

They are always so helpful and care about their customers. It's not so huge as other stores and this helps me too bc of my walking and balance etc . They are very knowledgeable with their products. Mike is awesome and so kind. Knows his product and I trust him with his knowledge and kindness. And, Kyle, I'm pretty sure I got his name right this time!! He has helped me @ Bon Ace Hardware for quite a few years now. Just an Awesome service and store. Thank you so very much. Maureen Christensen

I've been there numerous times over the last several months having learned to trust the Ace hardware brand back where I'm from. The greeters readily asked me what I'm looking for and directed me straight to where I need to be. Every time I know what I want, they can find it for me or tell me where to get it. When I don't know what I want, sometimes it's a bit trickier, especially the time I tried to get replacement bolts for a broken glider. They didn't work in the long term and I ended up having to return the glider from where I bought it. Still, I will happily patronize this location. I've had nothing but good experiences here with helpful people, eager to know what I need from their store. I'm posting this review because there's a lot of gossip on NextDoor about rudeness with the employees. But I think it's more like the employees are on it and want to make sure that you are not moving around the store suspiciously, and they are also being helpful in the process. I can't speak to the experience of others, but my vote is for helpful, friendly, local hardware store.

Great place. Very helpful staff. Especially Kyle. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and knew how to help me every which way. Other staff members I talked to were also great! 😊 10/10 would recommend coming here

I have been in many times, and that dude Kyle knows his stuff. When he left I was worried about the place,. but man I am Glad he is back, that man is gold!!! Give him a raise!
