I am a cancer patient who depends on wearing wigs throughout my chemotherapy treatment. I had very odd request of Ace Hardware staff, asking that each of my wig stands be cut down 2 inches so they better fit the display where I keep them. Even though it was close to closing time and it was a very unusual request, they were willing to help me, and even with smiles. They didn't end up charging me for the service I came in for because it was "quick & easy". They just told me to "focus on getting well"! I purchased some other items that were unique and couldn't be found any other place. I like that the store is set up is like a "boutique" of hardware stores with rare finds. I really appreciate the exceptional customer service and the care about me as a person, not just a customer.

This store has the cutest mix of gifts, unique finds, and charming little tchotchkes. I picked up a pizza board for my husband and a few other handmade treasures, including some adorable chicken oven mitts.

That old lady that works there is so rude. I place an online order at 4:30 pm for a shower drain cap, keeping in mind that they close at 7 pm. I get a message that the pick up has been delayed and to be on standby. I decide to go over an hour before they close so that I can look without being there close to closing. The cashier tries looking up my order, can't find it, sees my email with proof of the order (no canceled email showed up in my inbox yet), says to juat cancel the order and go to isles 34 or 35 to go get it. I ask this woman in Isle 30 if if she knows where the 5" shower drains are and she just snaps at me, "We don't have it. You're that online order from today, right? Yeah we canceled that pickup." I told her, "I never received the email of the cancelation," which is why I just showed up. She then explains how it'll be delayed, and I just say blankly, "Oh I just canceled the order, so I'm just going to go look at what y'all have." I was just so stunned at the sheer animosity over a question about a shower drain. Reported her cause what on earth?! Everyone else was so sweet and a dude from the paint section checked in on me.

everyone here was so nice. there was another guy who helped us who i can’t remember his name but he knows the rubber duckies. but tony! tony (and this other cool guy) helped us find exactly what we needed (see photo) and they were amazing chit-chatters. fantastic experience

I needed a brass 90 deg compression fitting to connect our new refrigerator water line, which is surprisingly a hard part to find, but this Ace store had it in stock. When I asked for assistance to confirm, Alan said it would not work & why & then checked his inventory online to verify that no Ace store carried the required fitting. Then he went above & beyond to check other online sellers that had a suitable part & it turns out no one makes a dual compression fitting. So I showed him a picture of the water shut off valve, what I needed to do & he showed me how I could connect the water line to the valve with a slight modification without the fitting. Ended up not purchasing anything, but his suggestion worked. HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ALAN & the entire staff at this store for awesome customer service.
