My wife and I made what would become a fateful journey to this establishment, hearts full of hope and the iconic jingle echoing in our souls — "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks." Little did we know, we were walking straight into a betrayal for the ages. Upon arriving at the front counter to collect our pickup order, we were coldly dismissed and directed to the back of the store — as if we were mere peasants unworthy of basic courtesy. I know with every fiber of my being that those items could have been brought to us. But no. Summoning every ounce of grace I had left, I turned to the woman at the front counter and posed a simple, innocent question: "I thought Ace was the place with the friendly hardware folks?" She looked at us. Paused. And then, with the calm and chilling delivery of a seasoned villain, uttered four words that will haunt me until my final breath: "WE LIED TO YOU." 😯🤯 No remorse. No hesitation. Just the cold, naked truth of a decades-long corporate deception, delivered point-blank to two people who only wanted their pickup order. We made the long, solemn walk to the back of the store, collected our items in stunned silence, and exited those doors — never. to. return. The jingle is dead to me now. We are ALL lied to.

I never write reviews, but so consistently have 5 star experiences here that I felt the need to. The staff is incredibly helpful. Often they’re giving me advice and things to try that don’t involve buying anything from them. When they do recommend something, they walk you to it in the store and talk you through options for doing it more affordably or easily. They’ve saved me hundreds of dollars and even when they cost more I’m happy to pay it given the level of service.

Everyone was friendly, but Caleb (sp?) was fantastic. He helped us with a return and then spent some time explaining products to us. Clearly a knowledgeable and helpful staff all around.

Amber ROCKS - many years ago I bought an orchid and bamboo plant. They needed more space. Amber greeted us and asked how she could help. She not only educated us on the plants and offered tips, she helped us physically and transplanted both plants!!! Keep up the good work Amber. Next time I will remember to take a picture!

I've been shopping and receiving advice from this Ace for over 25 years, and I've gotten excellent service along with patience, kindness, and respect from all the employees. I'm 81 years old now, and I those courtesies are greatly appreciated.
