I recently visited Ace on the Fax and had a wonderful experience thanks to Grace in the paint department. The store was out of the specific base I needed for my paint, but rather than leaving me without a solution, Grace took the time to help me find an alternative. When the only option available was an upgraded base, she discounted it to match what I would have paid for the original — no hassle, no runaround. That kind of customer-first attitude is exactly why I keep coming back to a local hardware store over the big box alternatives. Grace, you made my day! Highly recommend this store.

I've been coming to this Ace for about 5 years and it's wildly hit or miss with my experiences. In a nutshell, if you don't care about how much you're spending, this place usually has great customer service. However, if you use a coupon or want to ensure that whatever you're purchasing is ringing up the way it should, it's a completely different story. I've had frequent issues with standing at the register for well over 10 minutes waiting for a manager to fix whatever issue happened with my purchase, or if a coupon was used for that purchase and something was scanned wrong, the refund never works correctly and I have to fight them on getting my money back. At this point I'll come here for something cheap enough that it doesn't count for a coupon, but otherwise I'm going to Home Depot.

I've shopped in this store several times, mostly in the garden department, and the staff has been knowledgeable and helpful. I'd spent the entire day trying to find a place that would repair a window in a storm door. Everyone wanted to do a huge window project. I asked Ace's representative if he could recommend a window repair business, and he had the contact information right away. Service above and beyond! The business he recommended has been excellent, friendly, effusive, and professional. I pick up the window in a couple days.

This place has totally changed in customer service. I have bought Stihl products for several thousand dollars the last 10-15 years. Came in with a almost unused arborist saw because the saw just dies. They didn’t even want to look at it with out charging a $60 fee. If it was well used saw I would understand, but not for an almost unused saw even if it is a coupleof years old. Very disappointing, I expected more.
