I stopped by Ace Hardware looking for help with an issue. While they weren’t ultimately able to help me with my specific problem, the experience was still excellent. The staff was very knowledgeable and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Within seconds, I was already talking with someone about what I needed. One of the ladies even stopped what she was doing to help me, and she clearly knew her stuff. Because of the great customer service and knowledgeable staff, I’ll definitely be going back whenever I need hardware. It’s refreshing to walk into a place where people actually want to help.

Dylan is the man. I got myself into a stupid situation when I stripped 2 screws out. I went in earlier in the day and got an extraction kit. Got home and went to work only to be defeated again by these screws. Took my problem back to Dylan, he pulled out a drill set with bits and got to work. He quite literally drilled out the screws in the middle of the store AND refunded the extraction kit. This guy gives a shit and there should be more people like him. Thank you again Dylan and Ace as a whole.

Buyer beware….So normally I would say that you pay more at Ace for the service and quality. I had my first bad experience today. About a year ago I bought a 100ft garden hose with a lifetime warranty (Heavy Duty). I asked very specifically when purchasing what the process was for the warranty. I was told that they keep track of it because I’m a rewards member and all I had to do was bring it back for an exchange. I was informed today by the manager Alex that not only is that not true but the person who assisted me in the purchase never put the sale under my rewards account so I have no record of the purchase to go through the manufacturer (which I would have never purchased because that’s generally very inconvenient). Anyhow, my illusion of why I pay more at Ace has been burst & not sure I will gain it back which is unfortunate because I love the owner operated feel of Ace.

There are a lot of Ace Hardware stores in Jacksonville to choose from. I called around to a few with a request for some specific OEM Stihl products requiring an employee with good Stihl knowledge. After being unsatisfied with some other stores (one local Ace store told me to expect a 1.5 week delay when special ordering anything), I eventually spoke with Dylan at Cronin Ace and he is a true Stihl man who knows his stuff. I called him several times to add more items to the order and he worked really hard to ensure my late add items were included in the order which arrived THE NEXT DAY!! It is a breath of fresh air these days to work with conscientious and competent people such as Dylan at Cronin Ace on Baymeadows so consequently I will be working with him exclusively in the future for all my Stihl products. Thanks again Dylan!

Came in looking for specific tool that is harder to come by these days. While this location did not have one in stock, Kyle was kind enough to call another location and put one on hold for me. Very helpful & much appreciated.
