Was able to find everything I came for thanks to Sebastian. He greeted me the moment I walked in and was able to tell me where everything was just off memory

First, the staff here is always so helpful and friendly and welcoming no matter what time of day! My husband and I go here for random things all the time, and of course home projects like everyone else. Today I had exceptional service with Paul, who helped me with my paint questions, Rich the manager, and Ellen at the front checkout. Great team!!!!

I've been shopping at Ace for years, I even have a friend who works for Ace in Texas, but thanks to Fred, I'll be going out of my way to never shop at a Turner Ace again. I went to Ace at 8:52 this morning, the sign says "YES, WE'RE OPEN", the door is standing wide open, so I make the crazy assumption that the store is, in fact, open. I walk into the wide open doors, past a young male employee who says nothing to me, and make my way to the garden section to buy weed killer. I'm on the phone with my girlfriend this entire time, so I'm not being shifty or inconspicuous, I'm talking and walking through the store. Nobody approaches me or says a word to me. As I'm walking around looking at the weed killer, I find the product I need and as I'm picking it up, still talking on the phone; Fred approaches me and says "We don't open until 9." I look at Fred and say "The sign says Yes, we're open and the door's standing wide open." Fred responds, "Well lets go look." I take this as an implication that I'm lying about the sign or the door, and he's going to prove me wrong. So I follow Fred through the store, still holding the weed killer. As we're walking, Fred says "I'll open five minutes early if there's a register open." We then pass by the same young male employee I walked by on my way in, and he's STANDING AT THE REGISTER WITH A LADY STANDING AT THE COUNTER IN FRONT OF HIM. Fred asks the young male employee if he has a register open, to which the employee says "No." Then we walk out the wide open door, and Fred points to the tiny 9 at the bottom of the sign that has giant letters saying "YES, WE'RE OPEN" to prove that they open at 9am on Sundays (the only day they don't open at 8am apparently.) I then point at the giant "YES, WE'RE OPEN" portion of the sign and say "Do you see where it says "WE'RE OPEN" and Fred responds, "Well do you want me to close it?" As he walks back into the store and finally shuts the wide open door... I STILL HAVE THE WEED KILLER IN MY HAND. I have to wave at Fred who has shut the door in my face to get his attention so I can return the weed killer into the store and advise that I'll take my money elsewhere. I don't know what kind of bad day Fred's having, but he was unnecessarily rude and power tripping over nothing. It was 8:55, I could have stood around the 5 minutes, I could have waited outside the 5 minutes. A simple "Oh yeah, we gotta fix that sign, can you come back in 10?" would have lead to the easiest exchange ever, but instead he was argumentative about how the tiny little 9 somehow negated the confusion cause by the giant "YES WE'RE OPEN" sign. The good news is Ace Hardware stores are usually individually owned, and this one is owned by the Turner family. So I can still shop at Ace without giving them any of my money. Thanks for the top notch experience, Fred!

While visiting grandbaby and family, I worked on a couple repair projects and made a couple trips to Ace for parts. I had to fix a cut waterline that was installed and connected with Sharkbite connectors. I was not sure what size, so I bought 2 sizes and asked if I could return the one that would not be used...the workers said it would not be any problem. After making the repair, I returned the unused part, and had absolutely no problem returning it, as promised. It was yet another reason I enjoy shopping and supporting local businesses!
