I won't bore anyone with all the details, but an accident happened that might have made a somewhat stressful day into a definite bad one. I had not been to Twin-Aire in quite a while, but it was the go-to store for my family when I was growing up in Fountain Square. I wasn't even sure the Ace hardware store was still there. Things had changed quite a bit in that area since I had last driven through it, but I was pleased to see that it was still where it had always been. Walking in, I was hit with a huge rush of nostalgia that I hadn't anticipated. It helped to calm my mood, but I still had a serious issue that I needed to resolve. Again, I'll skip all the monotonous details, but even more than being in the same store that my parents used to go to for help, the help itself was a complete throwback to a time when life ran at a different pace. I don’t mean that in a negative way. They weren’t slow. I mean, a more relaxed, friendly time. I felt like I had walked into a small town local shop, where everyone was appreciated. I was greeted with a sincere smile and good cheer, and they listened to my issue and went right to work to help me with it. I was only there for five minutes, but it brightened the rest of my day. So here I am now, hours later, thinking about it, and the experience still puts a smile on my face. The least I could do was give the store a positive review and give a shout-out to Kim and Fred for going above and beyond for me. It was a pleasure meeting you both. You’re good souls. Bless you! I just needed nails, but wanted to roam around so badly! For starters, they have a kitty! The people are SO nice, SO ready to help you find what your looking for, great place! Happy to find them, so much better than looking around the bigger stores for an hour over something simple.

I am 73 years old and been going to this hardware store for decades. Very friendly and knowledgeable with many home fixes. Keep up the good work all employees. Oops, cashiers very friendly as well.

The gentleman at this store were very kind and knowledgeable. Store prices were some of the best ive found, but the customer service is definitely why I'll be returning.

I had two saw chains sharpened here while I waited. The chains I use are hard to get. I'll be here more for this service. Friendly staff. A DIY oasis in a less than affluent neighborhood.
