I am deeply disappointed by my recent experience at this location. While shopping, I was treated with immediate suspicion and made to feel like I was going to steal from the store. Being watched and profiled as a shoplifter is entirely unacceptable and deeply uncomfortable. Customer service should be welcoming, not hostile. I will not be returning to a business that treats paying customers this way, and management needs to address how their staff profiles shoppers.

This well staffed well stocked Ace is a pleasure to shop in. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. If they don't have it in the store they will look it up and order it for you. The store is clean, well stocked; isles and items are clearly marked. I have been living here for 7 years and the new ownership has transformed this shop to be a neighborhood gem. Zac, the manager, goes out of his way to keep the store service oriented. I love this place.

I needed help selecting the hardware to set up a wrought iron bed frame and positioning the side rails and center support. Richard was patient and knowledgeable as we worked through how the whole bed fit together. It took quite some time, although my total bill for parts and tools was under $40. Great support with a great attitude! Reminded me of the "good ole' days when excellent service ranked high!

Went to this Ace recently to buy some paint, and WOW! The new owners have made incredible changes and done a beautiful remodel of the store. Highly recommend checking it out! Not only do they have the usual tools and hardware, there are quite a few new additions, such as AZ souvenirs, patio pottery, and an extensive section of grills and grilling supplies. I will definitely be back, the store looks amazing! Staff was very helpful as well. 😁

ACE hardware on Tanque Verde, Tucson AZ: An employee rushed up behind me. Scared the begeezers outa me. I was carrying the one item I was going to purchase. Then he said, very loudly, "Hey! You can't shop with a backpack. Can I put it behind the counter?!" I replied, "no thank you." I was so startled by his rushing up on me. Then he said, loudly again, "well then you can't shop here!". I've surrendered an actual backpack plenty of times (this particular one was a purse that is carried like a backpack), if it's store policy and I am politely asked. This place though. I will never will shop there again. I'll gladly drive 3 more miles to the ACE on 22nd where employees are courteous.
