I’m a little embarrassed to post this, but I feel it’s important because the way this situation was handled was very unprofessional and against standard business practices. I had a very disappointing experience at this Ace Hardware location regarding Pokémon Elite Trainer Boxes and pricing transparency. On 3/18/2026, I asked a staff member if there were any purchase limitations in place, considering how hard it has been to find Pokémon products lately. The staff member assured me that there were no limits. Based on that information, I requested three boxes, and after our conversation, I added two more, bringing my total to five. My intention was to purchase these for family and friends, as they are very hard to come by. However, when I reached the register, the store manager informed a staff member that I could only buy one box at the advertised shelf price of $74.99, and that the remaining four would cost $109 each. There was no signage indicating any purchase limit or higher pricing for additional units. This felt misleading, as the shelf price and staff information led me to believe I could purchase multiple boxes at $74.99 each. I understand that stores may want to limit high-demand items, but any limits or tiered pricing should be clearly posted and communicated before checkout. The way this was handled was confusing and unprofessional, and it left me feeling frustrated. I hope this location reviews its policies and ensures pricing transparency, so other customers do not have a similar experience. I have photographic evidence showing the shelf price and the lack of any posted limit.

This store is large and it is an easy shopping trip. Ace Hardware stores are owned independently so your money goes back into the community when you shop at Ace compared to shopping at at a big box chain like Home Depot or Lowe's. I appreciate the neighborhood feel and friendliness of Ace Hardware. I got everything I needed here. Anthony was very helpful and knew exactly what and where I was looking for. I would return to buy more home and yard supplies.

The only good thing about this Ace is that it’s in my neighborhood. Their prices are extremely high. May be okay for a small item saving a trip to Home Depot. A hose mender was $9. It was $4.28 at Home Depot. That’s price gouging. I should have gone the extra miles and saved.

Showed up 5 minutes before closing the day before memorial day to grab screws for an important repair. Person working inside closed the store early so I'm forced to go to home Depot now. That's amazing service
