The store is amazing and has literally everything you could ever need! And the staff was super cheerful and friendly! But I went to get keys copied, and all 6 keys did NOT work! The woman who made the keys should get some one to help her next time. I am from out of town, so I can’t do anything other than throw away these useless key copies!

JO MacDaniels in the bottom floor was totally amazing as well as above & beyond the call of duty JO exuberated efficiency compassion listening to know exactly what I needed for my vehicle and actually hands on helpful and was happy to perform

Frager's is the best hardware store in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. I only needed a couple of screws & a washer, yet a Frager's staffperson spent as much time seeking the right screws as if I was buying something really expensive.

Typically we love Fragers. However we have been trying to arrange to rent a Bissell carpet cleaner. I call and am told Mr Hawkins will call me back. This has happened at least 3 times. Never got a call. So disappointing.

You have to expect sticker shock these days...that little fix-it item you thought would be a couple of bucks is $5+ plus these days...BUT Fragers will have it...(take the old broken one with you when an exact match matters). ...and at check-out DO be sure price matches posted shelf price...new ownership and computers can be VERY tricky about kicking in $ increases! Avoid spring week end crowds and look for old timer clerks for those helpful fix-it hints. Locks and key work not their strong suit, prices are stiff, too ...but a good, fully stocked neighborhood hardware store is STILL a thing of beauty.
